Heidi Cave is a motivational speaker that sustained serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident that took her legs and left her burned over the majority of her body. This didn't destroy her amazing spirit though as she used this experience to help others to overcome life's challenges and stay positive in the face of adversity. I was asked to come up with a design that would reinforce her courageous character and that also spoke to her confidence and positivity as a woman. I was asked to keep the design feminine but without being obnoxious and to capture the strength of her character visually. During my research of different symbols I came accross the oak leaf and found out about it's symbolism for courage and strength. I thought this would serve very well to represent Heidi's courageous character. Myself and the team at Rook Interactive came up the tagline, "Everyone has a story, Mine is a story of hope" to sum up the core of her message. The rest of the brand and corporate identity materials were designed to reinforce these sentiments.
