Big Ox Tools was looking for a brand for their hand tool company that would appeal to their hard working but fun loving blue collar demographic. The challenge was to come up with a company name, corporate identity and e-commerce website that would instill trust and appeal in the hardware company's potential buyers. Their e-commerce website needed to be easy to navigate and have an intuitive checkout process so that buyers would be left feeling confident in the quality of the product and so that they would feel comfortable making an informed purchasing decision that would get them back to work or play as quickly as possible. The name for Big Ox was the one out of many to choose from that seemed to capture the playful, yet rugged image that would appeal to this company's blue collar demographic. The seriousness of the design and tag-line was meant to offset the playfulness of the company name and combine to create an overall balance that speaks to the integrity of the hardware.
